Kansas City (Guthrie) @ Los Angeles Angels (Vargas-L)-----Guthrie is now 5-0 in 7 starts TY and hasn't lost a start since LY. Yes, the guy is unbeaten in his last 18 starts and the Royals have won 16 of those games. These guys that make the line decided to install Guthrie and the Royals as a dog vs. the Angels tonight??? LAA has won only 14 games TY and are 8-14 as a fav and are a money burning -1530 units on the year. So pitching match-up, the Royals have the upper hand and there is magic in the air when Guthrie takes the mound. Vargas is 4-0 his L4 starts vs. K.C. though and that is the one stat that will keep from giving this a "A" rating . In his L4 starts vs. the Royals , Vargas only has allowed 6 ER in 24 IP. DH Billy Butler went 5-for 5 last night and is 6-for-13 career vs. Vargas with 2 HR. Nobody else on the Royals roster has had much success though vs. Vargas , so it might have a shot of getting the win, but we are not bucking the streak of Guthrie. It is simple. The Royals have won 16 of Guthrie's L18 starts and they are the dog tonight vs. an Angels team that sucks. We love dogs with better pitchers.
